Current situation
Despite a decline in the intensity of hostilities compared to 2023-2024 and the cessation of hostilities in November 2024, children remained exposed to grave violations throughout 2025. Ongoing military operations, particularly airstrikes by Israeli armed forces, resulted in killing and maiming of children. Continuing activities by a growing number of armed groups coincided with a sharp increase in child recruitment and use.
Developments and Concerns
Alarming use of explosive weapons in populated areas, and its impact on children.
Urge armed groups to cease the recruitment and use violations and release all children from their ranks.
