The signing of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan in September 2018 resulted in a decrease in hostilities and a slight improvement in humanitarian access to children. However, the parties made modest progress on the implementation of the peace agreement and spikes in abductions and sexual violence against children were noted after the signing of the agreement. The greater Equatoria region remained the epicentre of grave violations with 50 per cent of the total number of incidents.
