The security situation deteriorated following clashes in Juba in July between the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Army in Opposition, as well as the subsequent split within the Sudan People’s Liberation Army in Opposition.

Overall in 2016, the level of violations against children remained at a similar level to that of 2015 and displacement continued at high levels [I].
