1,889 grave violations against 1,681 children (1,004 boys, 626 girls, 51 sex unknown).
63 boys were recruited and used.

Sexual violence was perpetrated against 193 children (7 boys, 186 girls).

50 incidents of the denial of humanitarian access were verified.
Current situation
Sudan’s children have been enduring one of the world’s gravest protection crises, with persistently high levels of killing and maiming and sharp increases across all other grave violations. The continued conflict, including prolonged sieges in North Darfur and South Kordofan states, has inflicted immense suffering, driven massive displacement, exposed children to gruesome violence and torn families apart, while humanitarian workers have been attacked and killed as they attempted to deliver lifesaving aid.
Developments and Concerns
- Alarming number of grave violations and number of children killed and injured, including by explosive ordnance, as well as by attacks on schools and hospitals and sexual violence in North Darfur and in the Kordofan region.
- Urge parties to adhere to the minimum age of 18 for recruitment and use in line with Sudanese laws and international standards.
- Welcome the Sudanese Armed Forces' release of 71 children.
